At first, I was apprehensive. I’ve never felt too comfortable at a gym, and have had numerous memberships where I never went a single time.
Everyone from the trainers to the members were incredibly welcoming and encouraging. The workouts were equal parts hard and fun, and always made you glad that you went. The atmosphere forced me to push myself harder than I ever have before. Each of the exercises was explained and displayed prior to the workout with modifications shown if it was too difficult. I’ve had two knee surgeries and two herniated discs in the past and with some modification I was able to perform every activity and eventually not require as much modification.
In just 6 weeks I was able to lose over 18 pounds, over 7% body fat, 3.5 inches off my waist, shave 13 minutes off my 5k time, and increase my PRs on squat, bench, deadlift, and overhead press.
I have more energy, my skin is better, and I am happier than I can remember being in a very long time.
